Holy Tuesday Reflection: The Light of Wisdom
On Holy Tuesday, we remember Christ's teachings on watchfulness and the parable of the ten virgins—five wise and five foolish.
As we gather today for the Mystery of Holy Unction, let us be like the wise virgins who kept oil in their lamps. In our Serbian Orthodox tradition, this vigilance represents our commitment to preserving the faith handed down from Saint Sava through generations of faithful.
The oil in our lamps is our dedication to maintaining our Serbian Orthodox heritage, practices, and governance. Through prayer, presence in the church, and perseverance, we ensure the light of our ancient faith continues to shine brightly in this land.
